Description:

North American white water lily is also called the pond lily. They are widely grown in parks, gardens, and natural ponds. The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center provides a beautiful description of this wonderful lily. Have provided this website in the reference section.

Habitat:

The American White Water-lily can form dense colonies, sometimes completely covering the surface of the water with leaves. This grouping of lilies were found along a lake edge in Straughn, Indiana.
