Field Notes

Description:

A very flat, seed-mimic grasshopper about 35mm long. Very alert and wouldn't allow me to approach closer than a couple of metres. Very hard to see in seedy grasses.

Habitat:

In grasses in a large state forest.

Notes:

Also called 'Common psednura' but there doesn't seem to be many recent shots of it. <br>

Thanks Cindy. Sorry it can't join your hopper collection. :-)
Thanks arlanda and Leuba. What you do is be really clumsy in the grass and something moves. :-)
How could you see it? Great spotting, Mark!
