Field Notes

Description:

Yellow and Black colour. Length is 3.5 inches at longest point. Width is 2 inches at longest point. Motionless in middle of web. Had yellow dots on its yellow legs.

Habitat:

Tropical secondary forest. Singapore, South East Asia.

Notes:

2 meters above the soil.

Spiders are great to identify. One means to identify spiders is to observe the kind of web they weave. If the web is circular in nature, it is considered an orb spider. If it has a boxy looking shape, it could be part of the tent spider group. You should post this in the SAS rainforest biodiversity study.
