Thanks Dominik. I will try and delete it then and perhaps upload it separately. I just don't have the location details. I spent a long time in the area but forgot to take a reading on my GPS device.
Not really sure about the second one, looks quite different for me, but definitely the same family Acrididae.
Dominik, is the second picture of the same creature?
Nice to hear from you Dominik and a Happy New Year to you. My trip to India was good for dragonflies but less good than South America for butterflies in particular.
Happy 2016, Les!! Nice to meet you here again!
Acrididae, Catantopinae, Catantopini, Xenocatantops sp., nymph, might be Xenocatantops humilis. http://drkrishi.com/tag/orthoptera/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/anthonywg/10063923985 http://www.phuketnaturetours.com/Pages/THUMBNAILPOPUP.PHP?z=http://www.phuketnaturetours.com/Images/Grasshoppers%20500/Xenocatantops%20humilis%20-%20nymph%2001.jpg&width=500&height=375&title=Xenocatantops%20humilis%20-%20nymph%20
