Field Notes
Description:
A very beautiful shot of two female Rhino sheltering a sleeping baby from the hot midday sun. Also known as the square lipped rhino, they present with a long square snout well suited to grazing.
With small eyes they tend to be short sited but have a good sense of smell to compensate. The ears appear bluntly pointed and the neck is thick as it ends in broad strong shoulders. Three toes on the feet.
Habitat:
Open and wooded savannah
Notes:
Location not accurate to protect the Rhino. I take Rhino conservation very seriously. :)
