Chipping sparrows look quite a bit different from your bird. For starters, they have a red cap on the head, your bird has a gray top of the head. Chipping sparrows also have a white eyebrow, and a thin, black stripe going back from the eye. Those are the only facial markings, Your bird has a huge black chin, and a big red patch behind the eye.
