Field Notes

Description:

Famous for their eternal chorus during Spring and Summer, Pseudacris crucifer crucifer, the Northern Spring Peeper is a very small frog that is light brown with some dark brown marks, including an "X" across the back of the body.

Habitat:

Found in swamps and ponds of Northern North America. I was surprised this one was found about 400 meters from the nearest body of water, however it was very damp.

Notes:

I love the "bandit" look on their face.
