Habitat:

Swimming close to shore and foraging between rocks. Eventually swam into open water but still close to shore of Prospect Lake, a large artificial reservoir in Memorial Park near downtown Colorado Springs. The lake is stocked with trout, attracting a variety of waterfowl.
