Description:

Not the colourful of the typical Lantern Bug but this one is special!
Pyrops lautus was described in 1870 and this is possibly the first photo document of it.
Almost all white in colour, the 'horn' part is grey/black in colour with white spots.

Pic #2 is the close-up. Pic#3 is when I first saw it up the tree.
Pic#3 is taken under UV Light.

Habitat:

Tropical forest
