Field Notes

Description:

The Western Pygmy Blue is one of the smallest butterfly species in the world, and is the smallest in North America. It's hard to imagine how tiny they are until you see them.

Habitat:

Gazania, poppy, and many other flowers.

Notes:

I could be wrong on the ID, although I'm fairly confident on this one. If I'm wrong, please correct me.

I love this. I've started growing a kind of weed (don't know what it's called) that attracts these tiny little guys like crazy.
