What Bird Specie nest could this be? It was by a lake.

According to wiki, "they are rare vagrants to western Europe, usually late in the year"...But they do not reproduce in Europe, so it must be another species: http://www.biokids.umich.edu/critters/Charadrius_vociferus/
I think it could be killdeer eggs but will try to go and check the place again so I can see which species are around the nest.
I know, it looks more like a kildeer egg, but it could belong in one of the common ringed plover subspecies...
