Description:
Bright yellow, first wildflower to bloom in the spring in the wetlands of the Pacific Northwest. The flowers have a distinctly "skunky" odour.
Notes:
The first nations people of the PNW used the waxy leaves of the skunk cabbage for lining berry baskets, berry drying racks and steaming pits.
