Field Notes

Description:

Brown, iridescent body with a blue/pink featherless head. This is a mature male complete with a beard, but of course I only had my 400mm lens and he was too close so only got photos of his head. He was also missing his left eye, but I couldn't get photos of it since he would only look at me with his right eye.

Habitat:

At the bird blind in Palo Duro Canyon SP. I actually really hate it when the turkey come to the blind because they jump on the feeders and break them and scare off all the little birds, which I find much more interesting than this guy.
