I've looked all over for an ID for this interesting beetle, but have had no success.

Thank you so very much Tom for the ID, I actually looked under Melandryidae, but had no results! Thank you a lot gatorfellows for looking for the ID, it does seem a lots like Cymatodera, and also some Elateridae. Best of luck finding an ID for your beetles, Sckel. Thank you so much, Karen!
I have not been able to find my ID for beetles. :/
We have similar beetles here in Texas called Checkered Beetles, Genus Cymatodera. Did not find yours in BugGuide, but here is a link to what I am suggesting - http://bugguide.net/node/view/645525/bgimage
