Field Notes

Description:

Magical moment when you find a mating pair of Flower Crab spiders, each with a meal!!!

Habitat:

Found on a lavender bush in our garden.

Notes:

You can see the female with a bee and the male with a jackal fly. I only got 4 pics of both with meal, when the female drops the bee, flips over for the mating. Whilst all this action is taking place the male never lets go of his jackal fly! Im elated to have seen this!!
