Field Notes

Description:

A lovely blue, maroon beak and a white bib in the front.

Habitat:

This Kingfisher is quite common near where I live because we have large waterbodies around. It had rained today and following the rain that cyclone Yaas brought to us, the waterbodies have anyway overflown into the roads bringing small fish...which these kingfishers and herons etc., are busy eating. This one was on a Gul-mohur tree near my house.
