Description:

About the size of a Robin, the mail Red-winged Blackbird is black above and below, has a bright red or orange wing bar along with a yellow wing bar. The female is dark brown to black overall without any wing bars.

Habitat:

Always found near some body of water which includes cattails, reeds and shrubs for perching sites.

Notes:

Territorial and aggressive at times
