Field Notes

Description:

All white wader, or small heron, with long neck. It sports a long and slender black bill, and long black legs with yellow-greenish feet.

Habitat:

Seen on shores of lake Awasa, central Ethiopia - one of the rift valley lakes, with a very interesting shores - rich in flora and fauna. Here, in reed vegetation in a wooded area, not too far away from Awasa town.
