Description:
One of the most familiar butterflies in Britain, visiting most gardens but recently suffered a decline in the South. Most often seen where nettles grow in abundance. Wingspan 4.5-6cm gender dependant.
Habitat:
seen in an open meadow next to some ancient woodlands along with 6 other species.
