Field Notes

Description:

This little guy is probably a year or two old. His shell is solid brown, and his skin is streaked with a large, red "ear" patch.

Habitat:

Seen basking on a log in a flooded timber area. When I pulled up, this guy and a young alligator were hanging out together. The alligator fled, but this guy stood his ground.
