Description:

The largest of the larva were about 5mm

Habitat:

Urban yard

Notes:

While rebuilding an old rock wall I found this nest of ants under the first rock I picked up. They were none too happy with me disturbing their nest. The entire rest of the time I worked there I kept having to brush ants off of me. They were not shy about biting. 35
