Field Notes

Description:

A palm tree has a very skinny trunk and has pricks at the end of the leaf that are green and sometimes it takes a long time but palm trees grow coco nuts, for people to drink.

Habitat:

Palm trees can grow in many diffrent places. Somtimes they grow on Islands. Sometimes palms can grow anywhere from dry land,to sand dunes, to wet bottomlands, and even salt flats to cactus thickets. It is able to thrive in areas we're it may be to hot or stormy for other trees to survive. The palm can be found along the coast of southern Carolina and South Carolina just 12 miles from the coast.
