Description:

Female mallard with two chicks. Male mallard was also nearby. The female and her chicks were wading upstream, searching for food in the water with their beaks. After a few minutes, they joined the male and headed downstream towards the quieter pond area.

Habitat:

Small urban park with grass, trees, and man-made pond and stream.
