Description:

Lacks chlorophyll. Parasitically obtains photosynthates from fungi, which in turn receive from photosynthetic trees (Myco-heterotrophic).

Habitat:

Understory, second growth coniferous lowland. Parasitizing Western Red Cedar (Thuja plicata) and/or Engelman Spruce (Picea engelmannii).
