Description:
The mallard is abundant and a widespread species. The male is one of the most easily recognizable ducks. All mallards have long flat bills and bright orange legs. Male mallards have a metallic green head and neck.
Habitat:
Mallards inhabit any wet habitat whether it be tundra ponds or marshy wetlands.
