Field Notes

Description:

black finger-like oblong growths with a rough, bumpy texture projecting from under a rotting log. some areas of white.

Habitat:

coming up from under a dead tree in Prospect Park Brooklyn

Notes:

creepy. on the same tree as the Pholiota sp. which I uploaded right before this spotting.

Actually, a 3 in 1. There were Oysters on the same log, which I'm about to post.
