Field Notes

Description:

This is a green, brown, and black toad. It has many bumps on it's skin. The bumps on a toad's skin help the animal to blend into its environment by breaking up its outline. Toads have long front legs. These legs are used for jumping very high and long lengths.

Habitat:

Toads usually live near marshes, rivers, and ponds. They always live on land and never actually in the water. I found this toad in my neighbors front yard in their landscaping.

Notes:

I usually find toads in my backyard by my pond.
