ah, right hema. that and bryce's comment points back to eastern cottontail, because marsh rabbits do have small ears. thanks bryce, likely a cottontail hema.

The Florida marsh rabbit (Sylvilagus palustris paludicola) inhabits the peninsula regions of Florida, but is not found along a northern area of the Miami coast. Only found in the Florida Keys, the Lower Keys marsh rabbit is an endangered species.

@hema, i'm not sure if that id is correct. I'm terrible with rabbits, but it could be sylvilagus palustris, marsh rabbit. http://www.redorbit.com/education/reference_library/animal_kingdom/mammalia/1112527873/marsh-rabbit-sylvilagus-palustris/ take a look see what you think or wait for the experts. definitely s. floridanus or s. palustris, though. Not sure which.
