Field Notes

Description:

Cool (very) little find for number 700! This is a small metallic arthropod (probably a beetle?) It's true size can be seen in pictures three and four where it's by a normal house key and on my finger. It has a few hairs on it's abdomen (can be seen in the four picture). Not a very skittish guy.

Habitat:

Found on fungus growing on a deciduous forest floor. Several clumps of similar fungi were in about a two foot area.
