Description:

large shrub, 12" long flower spikes with small red buds, not sure of the species.

Habitat:

canyon, cloudforest, 2000m

Notes:

I spotted this near a large river on a stop to visit ancient statues in San Agustin Archaeological Park. This was growing up a hill and this was as close as I could get.
