Field Notes

Description:

Moth with prominent eye-spots. Slightly battered veteran missing a bit of the right hind wing.

Habitat:

We had stopped enroute Lamayuru, Alchi, Ladakh when this moth entered our car. Barren cold desert landscape.

Notes:

Spotting a moth at this altitude (10,000 ft plus) made our day.
