Field Notes

Description:

Dark shell with orange markings and yellow markings on the legs and neck. I noticed this guy while walking on a steep slope, and the entire time it took me to get out my camera gear and photograph him he never moved a muscle. Was nice to have a beautiful and cooperative turtle for once!

Habitat:

In a high elevation forest with mostly pine trees.
