Australian Bustard

One of Australia's larger birds, the Bustard is a wary bird of mainly inland environments.Both male & female are similar in feather colour and pattern with grey/white head and long neck, grey/white body & speckling, wings are brown with black edging to feathers, a black partly crested crown patch extends to a point part way down the back of the head, long legs and strong wings. Omnivorous it feeds on insects, frogs, reptiles, berries, seeds while walking along slowly. The bird has an aloof manner and appears to stalk along warily.
