Field Notes

Description:

Small greyish brown with three eyespots together, anotherone slightly above and the largest sized eyespot on top. When it opens its wings the inner surface is darker (last photo). Two eyespots on the hind wing and the bigger one on the forewing inside surface.

Habitat:

Urban garden on rain battered flowers.

Notes:

Unnfortunately most of my spottings seem to have the prefix Common! This one is reportedly "One of the commonest butterflies found throughout India."
