Field Notes

Description:

Tiny. Wingspan 16 - 24 mm. Dirty white...or maybe a very light shade of pale gray with fine black spots and sqiggly lines. When it alights on a flower it moves its hind wings in a sort of cycling motion.

Habitat:

Urban garden.

Notes:

Also called Gaika Blue.
Reportedly, the second smallest butterfly in India...spotting it means I get a silver medal too :) Now to find out which is the smallest butterfly and go for gold.
