Description:

Small plant with impressive masses of pink flowers and buds. This plant is native to Santa Cruz Island of the Channel Islands. It is sometimes grown as an ornamental in California, as it is drought resistant and attracts butterflies and birds. Family Polygonaceae.

Habitat:

Along the dirt road going inland from Scorpion Cove, Santa Cruz Island, Channel Islands.
