Description:

This small butterfly is sometimes confused for a moth. It is orange with faint brown spots on the wings. They are active from spring through late fall, more common in the Midwest and Northeast. This specimen was seen in the Southeast. They prefer feeding on grasses.

Habitat:

This specimen was seen in central Georgia.
