Field Notes

Description:

Lifer :) Beautiful tan snake with dark blotches and an orange stripe running down the back. This guy had recently eaten something the size of a cotton rat, and was not aggressive towards us in the least bit. Happy world snake day!

Habitat:

Found on the road in early morning hours. Ditches full of water on both sides of the road, and thick oak forest on the other side of the ditches.
