Common name would be Shield Bug. We should avoid to repeat the scientific name for the common name. I am still not sure about Purpureolineatus, though. Maybe Odontotarsus cf. Purpureolineatus would be more appropiate until we have a safe confirmation.
In my eyes either Odontotarsus purpureolineatus or Odontotarsus robustus. I am not sure if all ID as correct. Looking at the link: http://macroid.ru/determination.php?cat=603 The diagnostics are quite "easy", but I am in this case not so sure which one it is. My guts are rather tending towards Odontotarsus robustus, but I am not that sure. Common name would be Shield Bug. Correct? https://www.flickr.com/photos/fturmog/2998410361/ Correct: https://www.flickr.com/photos/38501797@N07/5808505337/ Correct: https://www.flickr.com/photos/11963819@N00/3399328851/ http://www.boldsystems.org/index.php/Taxbrowser_Taxonpage?taxid=464450 Really Robustus?? Note the flat apex and the mostly parallel lines from above, the link, however, looks some kind of trustable: http://www.entomologiitaliani.net/public/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=34968 Correct: http://macroid.ru/showphoto.php?photo=103744 So, the main question is: Is the apex in yours flat or not, are the lines parallel or not?? What do you think??
