Moths in the family Geometridae contain some of the most convincing leaf mimics on Earth. The Maple Spanworm (Ennomos magnaria) is a dead leaf mimic: its rich tan and rust notched wings convincingly resemble fall leaves. A perfect camouflage for a moth found in the fall!
