Description:

What a find! These are slightly toxic when eaten raw but delicious when cooked. The morels are probably the most recognizable (aside from maybe buttons and portabellas (wait are those the same thing) edible mushroom. I didn't take these, as I prefer to leave nature alone.

Habitat:

The common morel can be found throughout the US.
