Field Notes

Description:

Some 15 cm in length, strikingly yellow chest and belly with black stripe in the middle - male (pictured here) has a rather thick black stripe, female somewhat narrower. Black head with white cheeks, olive-green back with blue to greyish-blue wing covers, with white stripe.

Habitat:

Very common, and resident in rural and urban areas of Jura Mountain Range slopes.
