@Patricia: Si, si quieres te paso la pagina del sitio donde estuve y donde hay grandes oportunidades -con paciencia- de verlos de cerquita. Y a los colibries tambien :-)
Hahaha..:-) Muckpuk: first I went to a natural reserve in Costa Rica where quetzals nest every year. It took me three days and long hours of waiting to see both the female and the male up close near their nest. They are very wary of people and will fly away if they hear people nearby so is best to go visit the area near the nest in a small group (sometimes this is not possible). Also it only takes a few seconds for the mate to exchange their place inside the nest so sometimes it is a matter of seconds before the mate that was inside flies away and the one left inside the nest is hardly seen (females not at all and males, you know they are inside because the long green tail does not fit in the nest and sticks out the hole :-) ** I am very happy that some people in Project Noah appreciates these quetzals spottings as I made the photographs all the time with the excitement of later posting them here and sharing them with the rest of the community, as for me to see these birds was one of my Holly Grails and I was really happy to have the luck to see them so close. So, many thanks for appreciating them Muckpuk! If you ever need more details or want to visit places in CR to see quetzals let me know and I can email you the web sites of the places I was in :-)
