Description:
Possible tail of an animal, black fur, approx 10cm long, the tailbone approx .5cm radius tapering off slightly towards the end.
Habitat:
Discovered in Lane Poole Conservation Reserve Dwellingup/Nanga
Notes:
Identified by the Perth Museum.
Also known as the Tuan or the Common Wambenger, it is a rat-sized arboreal carnivorous marsupial of the family Dasyuridae, characterized by a tuft of black silky hairs on the terminal portion of its tail. Males of this species do not live past the age of one, as they die after reproducing.
