Description:

Two Great Blue Herons could seen from the same vantage point at the Corn Lakes section of the James M. Robb State Park in Grand Junction, Colorado on this brisk day back in January. One individual was on a small island just a short distance out in the frozen lake, and the other was in a tree on the shore. Both pictures were taken from the same spot.

ha ha! We actually did see some folks out ice fishing that afternoon. Didn't see whether they were having any luck or not. :-)
