Field Notes

Description:

This delicate, trumpet-shaped flower has a beautiful orange color with darker orange spots. The ripe seed pods explode when you touch them, sending the dark seeds flying. Also called touch-me-not.

Habitat:

Damp areas in shade and sun. Seems to prefer rich soils.
