Field Notes
Description:
Pretty Treehopper in two tones of brown, about 5 mm in length. She is sitting on an area of a leaf stem where she has scraped the surface and is laying eggs. Almost a year later, in the very same place I found the next generation on the same plant. The last 4 pictures were taken on August 22, 2015. One is also laying her eggs along the stem of the leaf (5th picture).
Habitat:
Heavy shrubbery along the highway between San Cristobal de Las Casas and Tuxtla Gutierrez, Km. 11.5.
