Field Notes

Notes:

I have looked everywhere for an exact match for this but just can't find one. I am certain it is a solitary wasp in the family Euminidae but can't pin it down further than that. Any help gratefully received.

Species ID Suggestions

digger wasp

Sphecoidae sp.

@wonju.brian It could be but then it is also very close to Ancistrocerus sp. I really don't know which it is. http://www.gwydir.demon.co.uk/insects/wasps.htm
Thanks. I would love to know exactly what it is.
