Field Notes

Description:

Small "guinea pig" sized animal, related to elephants

Habitat:

rocky outcrops

Notes:

These little guys were at a tourist trap our guide stopped at for "rest rooms." We had been gazing at the view of the rift valley for several minutes when my husband told me to look down. All three of us were snapping photos like crazy, as these were definitely on our personal sightings list and we had not as of yet seen any!
