Description:

Yellow and brown butterflies were flapping their wings furiously while sunning theirselves in the mud.

Habitat:

Former US Army base near Seneca lake.

Yes Anna I saw many times in Sunshine they seat in group exactly in wet portion of surface.
butterflies drink from mud puddles, in addition to the moisture they get minerals and salts
